Herbie Hancock performs in Sofia, Bulgaria this October

After the first headliner at the prestigious music festival Music Jam 2010, John Lord, was announced in April, now the organizers have also confirmed the participation of the US composer and pianist Herbie Hancock. The famous jazz legend who delight the audience for 50 years will also enjoy all fans in Bulgaria this autumn. The event will be held on 27th of October 2010 and the venue is Hall 1 of National Palace of Culture in Sofia city, Bulgaria. The 15th edition of the festival Music Jam, the symbol of a music event of the highest class and prestige, proves again that the aim of the festival is to invite renowned musicians and showmen in order to delight the fans.
The program of Music Jam 2010 will give the chance of all fans to touch the masterpieces of two virtuoso pianists: Jazz legend Herbie Hancock and the keyboardist of Deep Purple –John Lord. The charismatic Lord visits Bulgaria for the second time as he performed in Plovdiv city last year.
Headliners at 15th edition of Music Jam are preceded by other world stars: Yellowjackets, Lenny White, Mezzoforte, Tania Maria, Zawinul Syndicate, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia, Billy Cobham, Bill Bruford, John Patitucci, Andy Summers, Planet X, Victor Bailey Group, Ibrahim Ferrer, Al Di Meola, Duran Duran, Chick Corea & Bela Fleck, David Sanborn, SMV, Silvie Vartan.
Herbie Hancock is a 70-year-old pianist, band leader and composer . In 1986, Hancock performed and acted in the film "Round Midnight" He also wrote the soundtrack, for which he won an Oscar Academy Award for Original Music Score. Hancock has been bestowed 12 Grammies. From 1963 until 1973, Hancock is part of Miles Davis's "second great quintet." After leaving, he creates his own band - The Headhunters. The jazz man had worked with a number of other legends – Chick Corea and Stevie Wonder, among many.
