The first phase of the archaeological excavations in Sozopol has finished. The fortress wall and the church “St.Nikolay the Wonderworker” were restored as valuable findings have come to the surface there.
The project for the restoration of the artifacts also includes the construction of an underground which will connect the centre and the Old town. Artefacts will be exhibited in underground galleries.
The second phase of the project foresees the construction of a glass covering on top of the excavations in the church “St.Nikolay the Wonderworker”. Thus, all tourists will have access to the historic landmarks.
