30 000 tourists visit the village of Shiroka Luka, Smolyan mountainous region each year, announced the chairman of the village's tourism information center. July and August are the busiest months as it has showed the biggest tourist flow. Accommodation capacity of Shiroka Luka is about 500 beds and mainly small family hotels, guest houses, as well as rooms for one night are offered.
The village is famous for a variety of landmarks which it boasts. The one which definitely deserve attention, though, are the vaulted bridges in the village, one of the most valuable architectural places, the Ethnographic Museum, as well as the church “The Assumption”. There are many eco paths in the region of the village, so the keen eco tourist will not be left disappointed. All of them are well-marked and maintained in an excellent condition. The musical schools are also a major landmark. Tourists are interested in them because of the extraordinary architecture style.
