The cave “Sharenka” near Madan, which was an old Thracian pit, has been already turned into tourist attraction.
Scenes of style of living and the mining of ore from the time when the old Thracians used the pit are depicted in the cave, formed in marble massif.
In fact, the cave is a part of a tourist route with the total length of 6 km which passes through other old pits and Thracian sanctuaries. Remnants of an ancient village with clay water-main are also discovered in the region.
