Sunny Beach introduces SMS parking fees

The biggest Black Sea resort, the favourite party venue Sunny Beach announced the introduction of SMS fees for parking lots. The fees will be applied for the high summer season which is about to kick off.
As of May 30th 2011, all vacationers who want to pay their parking fees in a hassle-free way will be able to send SMS to number 135544 for all subscribers of the three major mobile operators in Bulgaria: Mtel, Globul and Vivacom.
After the SMS has been sent, the person gets a reply which states that the payment was successful. In order to make tourists feel happy in Sunny Beach, the system also provides them with a friendly notification which is received five minutes before the pre-paid hour elapses. One hour stay in the parking zones in the popular coastal resort will cost 0.70 EUR. Please, bear in mind that the mobile operators will add their applicable fees for the text message. Local authorities pointed out that that the introduction of SMS parking is the first step towards the establishment of a blue zone on the territory of the whole resort. Sunny Beach is one of Bulgaria’s most renowned beach venues due to the vast choice of entertainment options, finest beaches and plenty of concerts, so it becomes overcrowded in the peak of the season.
