We enjoyed our stay there. The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff and our room was also nice, we liked it. We also liked the choice of the breakfast and were contented with the daily room cleaning by Ani. The only strange thing we experienced was that for using the safe in the room we had to pay separately. Just a small amount of money but we have never experienced the same in any other hotel in different countries. I know, the safe was not mentioned in the room description. Apart from it, we liked this hotel and highly recommend.

Positives:
Nice location
Price is very fair

Negatives:
Internet in room somewhat unstable.
Room not really clean i.e., thick dust on wardrobe shelves.

All in all it was alright given the low price, but I think there is potential to be better.

Overall it is a nice place. Excellent location, which is great. However, there are some things that could be improved:

1. the air conditioning does not work so well, it is a bit smelly and not pleasant if it works constantly.

2. the window does not have a proper window blind or thick and dark curtain. It was too bright the entire night, it was impossible to sleep.

3. there was only two electrical plugs in the room. One was connected to the TV the other one to the refrigerator. The one for the AC was broken and was dangerous. I had to turn off the refrigerator to charge my laptop.

4. pillows were too old and a bit overused. They do not cost much but can improve the quality of the bed a lot.

5. the barman was excellent, very polite and always smiling.

6. the last day when I wanted to check-out, I saw that the receptionists are not so professionals. For example, they told me to wait there impolitely and they immediately called someone to check my room. I felt very guilty and was a bit scared of what could I do wrong in my room. Then, they told me that I took one chocolate and a pack of nuts from my room. Luckily, I had them in my hand. I returned the items to the receptionist and apologized that I thought they were compliments for the guests since it is the case in many countries. But, they were quite impolite by saying something: "didn't you see the price list in your desk???".

In any case, my experience with Villa List and Sozopol is very positive. I am sure some minor changes can improve the environment and quality of the hotel a lot!

Very nice hotel within easy walk of all amenities. Excellent staff. Very clean and good breakfast. Only problem is lack of parking if you have a car. The room was ok but found it slightly small with a small balcony and the aircon unit was not very efficient. However we had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable
I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

We have just spent a week as a family of four at Villa Lizt which is right on the beach in the centre of Sozopol between the old a new town. The hotel is large, airy and spotlessly clean. It has a bar which appeared to be open all the time and also a poolside restaurant open in the evenings. The breakfast which is included in the price of the room is a huge buffet of fresh food which includes almost everything you could wish for! The staff are multi-lingual and very helpful and friendly. Some of the rooms are quite plain in contrast to the general glamour of the communal areas. For this reason we booked a more spacious apartment type room which was well worth it as our teenagers needed downtime spent inside.

If you stay at Villa List you cannot fail to have a pleasant stay. The value for money is excellent and sitting at the bar drinking cocktails overlooking the Black Sea is hard to beat!

We had a fabulous time at Villa List. The location cannot be beaten but the best thing about it is the helpful and friendly staff right from the receptionists to the cleaners. The design of the hotel is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to families as children can independently use the pool and bars without parents being worried. The breakfast was wonderful.

If there was one tiny critisism (which is of some guests rather than the hotel) it's the practice of a few families/guests 'reserving' loungers around the pool for the whole day when they are elsewhere. Often only a few people were actually using the pool, yet no loungers appeared to be available. I'm not really sure what the hotel could do about this, but it is irritating.

I booked the transfers to and from the hotel with Profi Tours and could not believe how efficient it was. I was nervous in case no one was going to be there at the airport to take us to Sozopol, but I need not have worried. The driver was on time and polite, and I even got a call in the taxi to check that everything was OK.

We booked this room direct with hotel to ensure a seaview room. Turned out to be booking agent in Sofia (Profi Tours). Room was great. Well appointed, big bed, lounge area and nice bathroom. Breakfast also fine. When we walked into our room (level minus 2), we looked straight out onto the crowd around pool and they look in, our room level slightly lower than pool level, see photo. I tried reception but as it was fully booked there was nothing they could do. They re-iterated that this room was classified seaview. Later tried wi-fi connection, weak signal that would not connect. Back to reception, they were aware of this 'small problem'. Could only connect in lobby and restaurant areas. When pool closed thought we would have a bit of a view when standing up but the sunbeds had been stacked in front of us. I emailed hotel booking agent regarding room classification but still waiting for a response. I am not against staying at this hotel just check what your room will be.
