Because of the winter tourism in the resorts near Smolyan, the municipality has noticed that it has become rather attractive for investors. In fact, Smolyan, Kurdzhali and Bourgas municipalities are the municipalities which have the greatest potential to attract investments.
However, the situation is not so good in Sliven, Pernik and Pleven.
Financial resources of municipalities increased gradually in 1998, 2002 and especially over the past three years, the research shows.
