Russian Tourists Rediscover Bulgaria Holiday-Making

The number of Russian tourist willing to come to Bulgaria to spend their summer holidays has risen by 10% so far, according to the statistics of visa entry applications submitted at Bulgarian consular posts in Russia. In the face of active summer season, Bulgaria has enhanced the consular staff at the consulates to streamline the issue of visas, Bulgarian National Radio informed. Russian tourists can apply for a Bulgarian entry visa at the consular posts in Moscow, Saint Peteresburg, Ekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. The visits of Russian tourists in Bulgaria for this year's summer period are expected to climb by 30-50% in comparison to 2004. Some 190,000 Russians have preferred Bulgaria as a 2005 summer destination, according to tour operators promoting the country on the Russian market. see source
