20.08.2012
Many tourists are interested in alternative forms of tourism in the last years and rural tourism is one of them. Most visited villages in Rhodopes are Zlatograd, Devin and Trigrad. Many Bulgarian and Greek tourists appreciate the mountain freshness, but Bulgarian mountains also welcome tourists from Israel, Holland, France, Germany. The towns offer extra services such as cave tourism, horse riding, safari and others.
Most hotels in the picturesque mountain villages are full, but tourists also prefer family guesthouses where they find good conditions, hospitality and opportunities for both relax and entertainment. Pamporovo resort is 80% booked. The prices in summer vary between 9 and 25 EUR, depending on the luxury and the categorization of the hotels.
