Photo traps will be installed in Nature Park ‘Rila Monastery’ so that fans of nature will observe the lifestyle of wild animals. The equipment is provided under the project ‘Beyond myths- new technologies and benefits of endangered species’’, developed in collaboration with the Association of Parks in Bulgaria.
The aim of the initiative is to collect information about the habitat, number and way of life of three endangered species- bear, wolf, otter, as well as the discovery of other species with a hidden way of life. Photo traps will be serviced by experts who will change their location, covering hardly accessible regions, as well as major tourist routes. It is expected that photo traps will improve the good attitude of tourists towards endangered species and even the tourism flow in the region may be further boosted.
