World-famous Chinese art group visits Bulgaria for the first time

For the first time Bulgarian audience will have the chance to delight a unique show spectacle of the Chinese art group of disabled people ‘My dream’. The event will take place in Hall 1 of National Palace of Culture, Sofia city. The varied program starts at 7:30pm. Visitors will be captivated by the unique performances that will bring them to the wonderland and the extraordinary world of Chinese culture. Vocal, group performances, modern dances, ballet, drama, folklore dances and poems in different languages are just some of the elements of the festival.

The visit of the talented Chinese group in Bulgaria and the spectacle My Dream convey the message - "Choose to dream" which aims to remind us to think beyond the limitations and to appreciate our life every day. This invisible power, the pursuit of perfection and beauty turn disabled people into a phenomenous group that gained popularity worldwide. ‘My dream’ present more than 150 performances every year, and they have visited more than 60 countries so far. Everywhere they are cordially greeted by some of the most influential political and public figures. Among the officials who patrons of the art of My Dream are US President Bill Clinton, Gerhard Schroeder and Aleksander Kwasniewski. Being popular all over the world, art troupe has the possibility to lead a major charity campaign. Only for the last 6 years My Dream has managed to collect donations that amount to 5.34 million yen and 400,000 dollars. This enormous sum was used to fund charitable projects for harmony and happiness.

Life is full of dreams… People with Disabilities equally love life and art. Special Art is a new phrase in view of the art performed by disabled people made its debut in the late 20 th century . The 1 st International Special Art was held in Washington , USA on June 5 th , 1989. Henceforth, the garden of human art has added a new blossom called Special art. China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe was founded in 1987. With the support and cares of the whole society, the Performing Troupe bears the dreams of people with disabilities and creates a special art which delights audiences, purifies the soul with Truth, Honesty and Virtue, encourage people by strong will, and delivers friendship with sincerity. Having sought and studied for 20 years, the Performing Troupe has begun to bringing forth new ideas independently, produced classics of special art, travelled to more than 40 countries in Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania . It flies its own unique banner in a colourful world and they are referred to as “ Messenger of Beauty and Humanity” by the international community and as “A Special Art Star of Mankind and Image Ambassadors for 600 Million People with Disabilities in the World” by the Disabled People's International 6 th World Assembly. My Dream is an extraordinary performing art presented by China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe: Artists with hearing impairments, with visual impairments and with physical disabilities. My dream gives their expression in their pursuit of life, full of beauty and sincerity.
