Lithuania and Bulgaria signed an agreement on cooperation in tourism

VILNIUS (ELTA) -Lithuania is prepared to share its experience of creating a legal framework for tourism and increasing flows of tourists with Bulgaria. It is indicated in an agreement on cooperation in tourism signed by the Governments of Lithuania and Bulgaria on Monday.
The documents were signed by Economy Minister Dainius Kreivys and Anelia Kruskova, chairwoman of a state-run tourism agency of Bulgaria, currently visiting Lithuania with the delegation led by the Bulgarian president, reports ELTA.
"Bulgaria has admitted that it finds Lithuania's experience relevant and it was Bulgaria the initiator of the agreement on cooperation in tourism," Economy Minister Kreivys said. The agreement provides for exchange in experience, statistical information, journalist groups, and informing the public of both countries about tourism possibilities of Lithuania and Bulgaria, establishment of a joint tourism committee, which would be responsible for joint proposals and a work programme as well as the implementation of the agreement.
