Kavarna has cemented its reputation as the rock capital city of the Balkan Peninsula. 40 world famous performers visited the coastal resort and some of the most notable ones are Dio, Manowar, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Accept, Nazareth, Saxon, Billy Idol, Twisted Sister.
Besides the rock festival, though, Kavarna avails of a harbour, spacious, non-crowded beaches and resort which lies in a bay, formed by a small river. The rocks and the coast of Kavarna are picturesque if you happen to see them from the sea.
This summer, Кavarna will also hold summer Dance Festival Kavarna 2011.
