International Fair Plovdiv is assigned to organize the biggest, most prestigious fairs and specialized exhibitions in Bulgaria. Around 4 700 companies from 50 countries participate annually in events staged by International Fair Plovdiv. Apparently International Fair Plovdiv is the leader in the exposition activity in Bulgaria, as well as it is also one of the biggest Fair Hubs on the Balkan Peninsula. International Fair Plovdiv is a meeting point for establishing business contacts between leading national and foreign companies in the area of industry, trade, services, science, culture, and other fields of economy and development. At present International Fair Plovdiv disposes of the largest exhibition complex in Bulgaria with multifunctional exhibition pavillions, conference halls for business meetings, equipped with modern audio-visual facilities and visual aids, a comfortable restaurant, coffee-bars. International Fair Plovdiv has been a UFI member (i.e. a member of the Union of International Fairs) since 1936. The beginning commences with International Technical Autumn Fair, featuring the longest standing amidst the events, scheduled in the program of Plovdiv Fair. Three more exposition forums are recognized for UFI-members - International Fair for Consumer Goods, Machines and Technologies for Their Production (in spring), International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA, and International Exhibition of Vine-Growing and Wine-Producing VINARIA.

The International Fair Plovdiv has gradually evolved to the definition of the “oldest, largest, most authoritative” representative of the exhibition industry in South-East Europe. Its size and rate of activity has made it the sole Bulgarian full-right member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and earned it a deserving place within other guild associations such as the Central European Fair Association (CEFA) and the Exhibition Association of South-East Europe (EASE). The Fair occupies an area of 360,000 sq.m. and houses over 24 multifunctional pavilions. Annually, the Fair hosts 52 events. With the newly-opened Congress Centre and its eight halls, the Fair intends to become a focal point for seminars, conferences, symposia. International Fair Plovdiv is a modern international venue for the business of prestigious companies from Bulgaria and all over the world who establish partnerships or start joint projects. The International Autumn Technical Fair can be qualified as the most prestigious investment goods and technologies forum. It exhibits the latest developments of world leaders in machine engineering, automobiles, transport, information technologies, software, electronics, electrical engineering, construction, chemistry, power engineering, ecology, etc.
