French Tourists Invade Troyan

Troyan, central Bulgaria, will host 950 tourists from France in the summer. From April to September three groups of French tourists will spend their summer vacations in the mountainous town. The town will receive 150 guests every month, according to Stella Karamfilska from Tourism Council association. The French tourists will stay for two days in Troyan of their 8-day vacation in Bulgaria. They will sleep at the four-crown Troyan Plaza Hotel. The guests will have the opportunity to picnic at the locality of Aidushko Sborishte up in the mountains where, according to the legend, rebels gathered to fight the Turks two centuries ago. The tourists will be treated to the local plum rakia and will be shown how rakia is stilled. Their entertainment program includes Bulgarian folklore concerts and lessons in pottery making. see source
