Free Wi fi and video surveillance in Sozopol

All guests and residents of Sozopol municipality will be able to use the free Internet access on the area of the popular seaside resort in Bulgaria. A new project has been introduced with funds by Sozopol municipality and now there are free Wi Fi zones in the whole city. The free Internet service is available as of July 9th.
The company that maintains the service has announced that only a few hours after the service has become officially available, 1150 people have used it. All tourists and residents of the seaside resort Sozopol will be able to use the free Internet service. The coverage of the free Internet zone will start from the old town in Sozopol to Budzhaka. Besides free Internet access, Sozopol municipality has been also equipped with a modern video surveillance system. There are video cameras with a high resolution all over the resort and they will ensure the security of all tourists and locals.
There are two types of video cameras and they are installed in key places in Sozopol. There are cameras at both the entrance and the exit of Sozopol. The video recordings will be watched and monitored 24h by municipality’s employees who are responsible for sending immediate alerts to the police in case there are incidents or violations.
