Cultural tourism in Nessebar beach resort may extend the summer season

The municipality Nessebar has the ambition to develop cultural tourism. Thus, there is a real possibility that the summer season in Nessebar beach resort, Bulgaria will be extended. This was one of the topics of the organized conference ‘Urban planning and the project for the cultural heritage of UNESCO’.
Many representatives from other countries also took part in the forum and presented best practices for the preservation of the cultural and historic heritage.
The report ‘Hope in Nessebar summer resort’ was also presented. This is the title of the project according to which two of the old churches in Nessebar, ‘St.Paraskeva’and ‘St.Joan the Baptist, as well as the street that connects them, will be restored, conserved and socialized in an urban environment. This will be fulfilment of the first part of the cultural and historic route ‘Spiritual road’which aims to showcase all antique churches in Nessebar summer resort.
