Leave(leaf&lead) the world a better place

It’s a green and blue world
I am sitting in front of my window and I am looking outside. It’s a wonderful sunny day, not typical of the end of February. I am lost in my thoughts about the future of our world, this green world with its wonderful g/b nature. Could it be tomorrow as green as it is today? What should we do? The smiling sun symbolizes our optimistic attitude to life, the will to rise every day, solar power - renewable energy in literal and figurative terms and light - the light of science, enlightenment.
Perhaps the most over-used and mis-used word in the travel industry.
The origin of „ecotourism” and its growing popularity are results of new trends in our contemporary world. Ecotourism should be a mirror of the fundamental change of people’s attitude toward the nature. The aim of ecotourism is to help people discover, enjoy and support elements of this better world, which already exist, during their holidays. Ecotourism is Ecological Tourism, it is not only a tourism segment but also a movement for a better tourism, which focuses on travelling to destinations where flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are the primary attractions. Ecotourism is NOT placing a hotel in a splendid landscape, to the detriment of the ecosystem, it is a way of thinking. Although, tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the global economy and developing countries are attempting to cash in on this expanding industry in an attempt to boost foreign investment and financial reserves, every country, developing its ecotourism strategies should be aware of the fact that uncontrolled growth of this industry can result in serious environmental and social problems. Everyone knows that such negative effects can be controlled and reduced.
Ecotourism means education, for both tourists and residents of nearby communities. Well before departure tour operators should supply travelers with reading material about the country, environment and local people, as well as a code of conduct for both the traveler and the industry itself. Simultaneously, ecotourism helps raise funds for environmental protection, research and education.

- what kind of heating your hotel has chosen(energy efficiency)
- how water conservation is promoted
- affordability and lack of waste in the form of luxury (forget those sparkling hotels)
- local culture, flora and fauna being the main attractions
