Experts: Bulgaria should develop wine tourism

Bulgaria should put efforts in its development as wine tourism destination. This was the statement of the founder of the only European educational centre for vine-growers.
According to him, for instance, French perceive Bulgaria as a destination for vine-growing which has rich traditions in wine production.
Therefore, wine tourism and wine production should be developed and this will add value to all tourist offers.
The founder of European Educational centre has given an example with the French region Bordeaux which has attracted many tourists after the region has been adopted under the auspices of UNESCO. In general, wine tourism marked its upsurge worldwide as it has provided opportunities for wine producers to sell their production directly to consumers. According to Labeyri, the tourism invariably include: visit of vines, a lecture, regarding the technologies in wineries, SPA procedures and animated degustation. Selling wine means that we promote history and traditions of the region where the wine is produced, commented experts.
