Maybe more clean in the rooms (the carpet is old) and on the balcony.

Staff are great always smiling. Beds comfortable this was our second trip and plan to go back next year. Only one request would be to serve tea and coffee at lunch and dinner for people who prefer a hot drink with their food.

This is our fourth year visiting this resort. The booking process is easy, hotel rooms excellent, clean with magnificent views over mountains or the Black sea. The food and drink is ample and caters for all tastes and age ranges. The hotel itself is kept spotlessly clean. Activities throughout the day and evening entertainment are first class. Staff members are extremely friendly, in fact over the years some have become lifelong friends. We always receive an early booking online discount and as valued customers have received room upgrades and complimentary wine in our room over the past two years. I can not believe the value for money or fault this hotel. Ivan and his entertainment team are fantastic, and as for Ivo...he is a star!!! x

The main restaurant is too big and the noise is important. In the Bulgarian and Italian restaurants the atmosphere is great.

We had good vacation at the hotel. Recomend to families. Food was very good and most staff polite and very friendly. Last day we had bad experience with sandwich bar staff. We waited 20 min for taking order, but he ignored us and changed queue. At last I told him that we were here before and asked 5 sandwiches. He began to argue until one man intervened. After that he refused to give me 5 sandwiches and I had to prove him that I have 4 person with me on vacation. I didn't like his impolite attitude and finally we got wrong sandwiches (maybe by accident). Booking was veey easy and fast . Our agent Kristina Kraynova was polite, fast answers and very thorough.

I am so happy being there!Everything was just perfect!I was going to say farewell to Bulgaria and go to Greece or Turkey but decided to try a vacation here for last time.And I was lucky to do so!You had top service like in Turkey,top accommodation like in West Europe and top Bulgarian sand and sea!

We spent holidays in this hotel for the second time. I must admit, we were little bit disappointed, because:
1. The hotel promisses in its All Inclusive information sheet ice-cream from 9.00 to 18.00. The truth was, ice-cream was at our disposal only from 12.00 - 15.45.
2. Panninotheka closed always earlier than at 16.00. After 15.30 we had problem to get any pannini.
3. Nobody repaired broken water runoff in the bathroom during whole stay, even I personally asked for it at the reception desk.
4. I would propose to increase number of umbrellas on the beach, because it is really not comfortable to "fight" every morning in order to "reserve" a place.
5. I would also propose to add aditional place for the cook making excellent pancakes - such long queue makes nervous people and children in particular.
6. I do not find very clever to call the same places with more names (f.e. Panninotheka and Beach Bar)
7. Unfortunatelly Italian restaurant is opened only during the lunch and dinner.

At the same time I wish the hotel all the best. Thank you for very good time we had there!

I am Australian and work as Executive Chef for Royal Caribbean cruise lines, I have been in hospitality for 30 years and travelled to over 30 countries. I took my family (6 adults and 2 children) for a week in Bulgaria for the first time. My analysis of Sol Luna Bay hotel is as follows (I like to start with the points that need work and then finish on a positive note): Rooms good but had ants and 2 very uncomfortable single beds pushed together which is NOT 4 star standard. Exchange rate at front desk a complete rip off compared to in town a short trip away. Parking charge is a "hidden" extra and should be made more clear. Parking area itself needs improvement. "Italian restaurant" concept is a complete disaster, only a watered down version of main restaurant and a pathetic effort. Management visibility non existent, only saw Executive Chef checking on his operation on a regular basis. All staff very friendly and worked very hard. Overall cleanliness and presentation was outstanding. Food in main restaurant was excellent variety and quality, I rated only good due to very poor Italian Restaurant "concept" Value for money also excellent. Location wonderful. The effort that went into the stage productions from entertainment staff was obviously enormous and fantastic.
