Travel landmarks in Smolyan area are further promoted

Mountain municipalities Smolyan, Chepelare, Zlatograd and Rudozem will promote their travel landmarks with a joint program. They will work together to promote their areas and their efforts are a result of a joint program “Development of the tourism region Rhodopes and marketing of its destinations”.
Most popular landmarks in Smolyan are “The canonyon of the waterfalls’’, the Planetarium, the fortress, surrounding the museums and the city. Chepelare’s most famous travel attractions are Wonderful bridges, the travel landmarks in the region of Persenk peak.
The medieval fortress Koznik, the area Sudilishteto in Rudozem municipality. The ethnographic complex in Zlatograd along with other travel landmarks which fall into it will be further promoted. The active promotion of the landmarks within mountain municipalities will also try to support the development of winter tourism, alternative and extreme tourism. The overall idea is to encourage the promotion of the travel landmarks in Rhodopes.
